| | Your Soul is Searching | |
You are a wanderer. You constantly long for a new adventure, challenge, or even a completely different life. You are a grounded person, but you also leave room for imagination and dreams. Your feet may be on the ground, but your head is in the clouds. You see yourself with pretty objective eyes. How you view yourself is almost exactly how other people view you. Your near future is likely to be filled with great successes and accomplishments. You just need to figure out how to get there. For you, love is all about caring and comfort. You couldn't fall in love with someone you didn't trust. Inside the Room of Your Soul | comments: Leave a comment |
| Your result for The Social Persona Test (What kind of man/woman are you?)... Quirky Traditional Alpha Female (QTAF): The Rarity
(Image from http://folk.uio.no/thomas/lists/amazon-connection.html) You have an unusual and unbelievably precious combination of traits, especially in a woman. Not only are alpha females extremely rare, but traditional ones with nerdy/geeky interests are even more scarce. Unlike the other types, I can't give you a description because I'm not sure if you actually exists. I know this is not a compatibility test, but you are the girl of my dreams. (Assuming, that is, that you are also in your twenties and live in New England). Please, oh please message me!
--Bookwyrm85 You are more QUIRKY than NORMAL. You are more TRADITIONAL than LIBERAL. You are more DOMINANT than PASSIVE.
When picking a date, consider: Lord of the Misfits (QLAM), The Late Bloomer (QTAM), The Snowball's Chance in Hell (QTBM), or The Manga Geek (QLBM). Take The Social Persona Test (What kind of man/woman are you?) at HelloQuizzy | comments: 2 comments or Leave a comment |
| | You Are an Old Soul | You are an experienced soul who appreciates tradition. Mellow and wise, you like to be with others but also to be alone. Down to earth, you are sensible and impatient. A creature of habit, it takes you a while to warm up to new people.
You hate injustice, and you're very protective of family and friends A bit demanding, you expect proper behavior from others. Extremely independent you don't mind living or being alone. But when you find love, you tend to want marriage right away.
Souls you are most compatible with: Warrior Soul and Visionary Soul |
(Hmmm, I've been told this before.)

Having trouble picturing a sexy hyperbolic armadillo that's into recycling. They're usually so wasteful. :-P
For SMAP, I got Simple Musicians Attack Peppers, which I didn't like as much as an old friend's "So Many Are Perverted" or the egotistical "Simply Marvelous And Perfect".

On the twelfth day of Christmas, boogiebabe_smap sent to me... Twelve puzzles drumming Eleven movies piping Ten friends a-leaping Nine dogs costuming Eight soundtracks a-reading Seven computers a-singing Six puns a-drawing Five cro-o-o-osswords Four stargate atlantis Three boogie knights Two broadway shows ...and a theater in a family.
(Ya know, if I could swap a couple of those, it would make sense!)
AND
In 2008, boogiebabe_smap resolves to... Take evening classes in keeshonden. Go singing three times a week. Pay for my boogie knights on time. Go to filk every Sunday. Keep my rock clean. Put fifty dogs a month into my savings account.
(I can readily endorse all of these, but the 50 dogs a month would break me.) | comments: 2 comments or Leave a comment |

| So, what I request is, if you so feel inclined, post 10 things that are going right in your life right now. I don't care how small. You're happy with your cup of coffee. You saw a flock of geese flying over. ANYTHING. Things that make you happy. Things that make you smile.
No pressure.
It's small and it's simplistic, but maybe for the time you are compiling your list, you'll forget about the bad going on and focus on something good.
Not in any particular order, mine are:
1. The Boogie Knights are doing a concert at a venue other than a science fiction convention! And it benefits a good cause. And it appears that we'll have a good turnout. (ohplease, ohplease, ohplease) And I just love to sing; so any concert is a good thing.
2. I got the letter from the lawyer that indicates that we really, really are in the home stretch for closing out Mom's estate. (The nightmare will soon be over.)
3. My 81-year-old Dad has recovered from the flu.
4. It's a holiday weekend and I have Monday off from work.
5. I have many good friends and family members who love me and whom I love. And I have two very fluffy puppies-at-heart who are my surrogate kids whom I adore and who are all over me looking for affection right now.
6. My 6-year-old Saturn Vue has over 120,000 miles on it and it still runs like a charm and gets over 22 miles to the gallon.
7. I'm thoroughly enjoying the Dresden books by Jim Butcher. (I'm starting #5 - Death Masks.)
8. I'm treating myself to a full-body massage once a month just because I want to.
9. I've ordered myself a pair of kick-ass, custom boots that are going to be stunning.
10. I'm gainfully employed at a job I enjoy at an employer which is very unlikely to fold. And I owe money to no one.

| Which Goddess lurks in your soul?
Hera It is obvious that leadership is your strong suit! Hera was Queen of all the Greek Gods and the daughter of a Titan. This is no small boast! Hera is selective on who she inhabits and rightfully so. Only those of majestic grace and keen intellects are considered and she will leave in a heartbeat if her host is ungracious or in anyway corrupted by a powerful position. Like Hera, you are a true born leader of the people. Many have come to you over the years seeking guidance and patient understanding to their plights and pains. Your advice is usually rooted in the experiences of your own life and given with great care and caution. Continue on this path and Hera will make you a Queen worthy of remembrance! You Belong in London
|

You belong in London, but you belong in many cities... Hong Kong, San Francisco, Sidney. You fit in almost anywhere.
And London is diverse and international enough to satisfy many of your tastes. From curry to Shakespeare, London (almost) has it all!
|
Having recently been to London, I won't argue. I also felt right at home in San Francisco and Sidney. I've never been to Hong Kong. Some of the other tests I took said I belonged in Austin, TX (American City) which I've visited and enjoyed and Alaska (US state) which I've never been to, but would like to visit someday. BTW, had a nice day in DC with neadods at the National Book Fair (who could pass up getting to see Neil Gaiman?), the Herblock political cartoon exhibit at the National Portrait Gallery, and dinner at a place called Teaism whose Chicken Udon Noodle Soup was yummy (much ginger! Happy Smap!) and chai shake was nice. | comments: 1 comment or Leave a comment |
| The Controversy Questionnaire:
[01] Do you have the guts to answer these questions and re-post as The Controversial Survey? yes.
[02] Would you do meth if it was legalized? Not under any circumstances.
[03] Abortion: for or against it? I feel that abortion should be legal. I also believe that the life of the mother is more important than any unborn child.
[04] Do you think the world would fail with a female president? No. Gender makes no difference. Look at Queens Elizabeth, Queen Victoria, Indira Ghandi, Golda Meir, Margaret Thatcher,..
[05] Do you believe in the death penalty? Yes, but only for repeat offenders on very violent crimes.
[06] Do you wish marijuana would be legalized already? No.
[07] Are you for or against premarital sex? I have nothing against mutual-consent, responsible sex between adults of any gender whether or not marriage is involved.
[08] Do you believe in God? Undecided.
[09] Do you think same sex marriage should be legalized? Yes.
[10] Do you think it's wrong that so many Hispanics are illegally moving to the USA? I don't care what race/culture is involved. I'm all for immigration, but if you come here, you should follow the rules and pay the taxes like everyone else. Illegal immigrants should NOT receive government-provided perks like welfare or a "free" education.
[11] A twelve year old girl has a baby, should she keep it? No.
[12] Should the alcohol age be lowered to eighteen? Yes. If you're legally recognized as an adult for voting, enlisting in the military, and self-determination, then you should be considered adult enough to make your own decisions as to whether or not to drink.
[13] Should the war in Iraq be called off? Whether on not we should have been there in the first place is immaterial. We're there. Given that, leaving before Iraq can stand on its own would only make bigger problems down the road.
[14] Assisted suicide is illegal: do you agree? No, suicide is a personal decision and shouldn't be lillegal. As long as it is the decision is that of the person seeking suicide, assistance should be legal.
[15] Do you believe in spanking your children? Yes.
[16] Would you burn an American flag for a million dollars? It is the proper way of disposing of a damaged flag. However, burning a flag just to burn a flag would be anathema to me. So, no.
[17] Who do you think would make a better president? McCain or Obama? I don't know. There are things I like and dislike about each of them. Personally, I lean toward McCain.
[18] Are you afraid others will judge you from reading some of your answers? People judge you from everything you say and do. Am I afraid of that? No, not really, but I do think about it.

Your result for The Who Would You Be in 1400 AD Test...
The PaladinYou scored 16% Cardinal, 41% Monk, 71% Lady, and 54% Knight!
You are highly moral, but also don't shy away from using force if your lord commands it. You are honourable to the point that you would readily sacrifice yourself for a noble cause. Your name will be the subject of tales and song for generations, however their concentration will be less on your deeds in life as on your martyrdom. You scored high as both the Knight and the Lady. You can try again to get a more precise description of the Knight or the Lady, or you can be happy that you're an individual. http://www.helloquizzy.com/tests/the-who-would-you-be-in-1400-ad-test ----- Somehow appropriate since I'm a Lady in the Boogie Knights and my last D&D character was a Paladin. :)
